Welcome to "Government" Class

Before we get to the ins and outs of U.S. Government, and even before we get to the purpose of government we need to be able to define government. This may sound simple but give it a try. You can look to dictionaries but the definitions are not very satisfying.

What IS Government? What makes it different than any other organization of people?
